Inter-Club Cricket Series: Town Club Posts 2nd Win

Bhubaneswar: A five-wicket haul by left-arm spinner Shuva Sanket Dhal and an unbeaten half-century by Bishal Kar powered host Town Club to a 148 run win over Mukteswar Cricket Club in the Inter-Club Cricket Series at Town Club ground here in Old Town on Friday.

Electing to bat, Town Club piled up a healthy total of 270 for 6 in the stipulated 40 overs. In reply, MCC were bowled out for 122.

Shuvam Sanket Dhal was adjudged man of the match and he received the prize from eminent athletics coach Arun Kumar Das.

Town Club Sports Secretary Manoj Mohapatra was present on the occasion.

Town Club will meet Sahid Sporting Club in the third match of the series on Saturday.

Brief score: Town Club 270/6 in 40 overs (Girija Mishra 66 n.o, Pratyush Das 47, Rakesh Behera 43, Bishal Kar 42; Prabir Nayak 2/42, Subhamshree Behera 2/63) beat Mukteswar Cricket Club 122/10 in 26.5 overs (Prabir Nayak 33, Priyabrata Priyaranjan Sahoo 24; Shuva Sanket Dhal 5/34, Deepak Majhi 3/11, Bhabatosh Paramanik 2/21) by 148 runs.
