Officials told this to 5T Secretary VK Pandian during a review visit to the project site on Sunday morning.

The 5T Secretary stressed on maintaining the quality of works and completion within the deadline.

The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) is building the ISBT over 15.5 acres of land at a cost of Rs 180 crore. The bus depot at Khandagiri is also part of the project with a parking capacity of 300 buses.

Pandian also inspected the construction of a parallel road to the Jayadev Vihar-Patia road taken up by the Public Works Department (PWD).

The 13.6-km-long parallel road will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 92 crore. The new road will substantially reduce the traffic load on Jayadev Vihar- Patia road. It will connect CRPF Square to the Institute of Mathematics in phases.

The project with 2,600 houses will come up over 20.21 acres. Of this, 6.5 acres of land is earmarked for development by a PPP partner. The colony will have community facilities like primary school, primary health centre, shopping area, play area, etc. The project will be completed in two phases by September 2022.

The project will comprise 13-floors with two basement floors. It will come up in two towers with built-up area of 3.36 lakh sq. feet. The project is scheduled to be completed by December 31.
