Bhubaneswar: International Women’s Day was celebrated at Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. on Monday. Dr Aruna Mohanty, president, Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy was the chief guest. Amresh Kumar, Managing Director, Dr P.K. Mohanty, Director (HR) & Ashish Kumar Mohanty, Director (Operation) were present at the inaugural session of the programme and addressed the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Aruna Mohanty emphasised the need to celebrate womanhood every day. She urged women to stand up on their own in every odd situation. The chief guest also recited a self-composed poem linking all mythological women characters like Kunti, Draupadi and Radha.
A one-day workshop was organised by Tanvi Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. on the same day at the Training Centre. Ram K Sharma and Arunima Patra carried out interactive sessions on a variety of topics such as “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”, “Parenting & Counseling guidance for women” & “Celebrating Womanhood.”
All the women employees of the corporate office participated.
