Mumbai: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will kick off on March 22, two weeks after the Champions Trophy final, with a match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
The Eden Gardens will also stage the final of the world’s most popular and competitive T20 league on May 25.
A total of 74 matches will be played across 13 venues in India, as per the fixtures released by the organisers on Sunday.
Apart from the home cities of the 10 teams, matches will be played in Visakhapatnam, Guwahati and Dharamsala, with Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals playing some of their home games at these venues.

The league stage, comprising 70 matches, will end on May 18. Two of the playoffs — Qualifier 1 and Eliminator — will be held in Hyderabad, followed by Qualifier 2 and the final in Kolkata.
