Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the schedule for the second half of IPL 2026.
A fortnight ago, BCCI had released the fixtures for the first 16 days of the league only, covering 20 days. The curtailed first list was because the organisers had to wait for the Assembly election date announcement in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Assam, where matches have been scheduled.
The remainder of the league stage, comprising 50 matches, will be played from April 13 to May 24, 2026, across 12 venues in India. Matches in the second phase will be held in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow,
Jaipur, Dharamsala, Raipur and New Chandigarh.
With Guwahati staging three home games of Rajasthan Royals in the first phase, the total number of venues for 70 league-stage matches of this year’s edition is 13.
The schedule for the playoffs will be announced later, IPL organisers said.
The popular T20 tournament, spanning two months, will start on March 28 with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
SRH will kick off the second phase, too, as they host Rajasthan Royals on April 13.
There will be a total of 12 double-headers over weekends.
