Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Eden Gardens on Thursday.
For KKR, Subham Gill (57) and Dinesh Karthik scored an unbeaten 45 to help their team clinch victory. Opener Chris Lynn gave KKR a promising start after hitting two sixes in the first over itself, but was soon dismissed.
Batting first, Faf Du Plessis (27) and Watson (36) got off to a good start to give Chennai a score of 48/0 in five overs. Then Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored an unbeaten 43 in 25 balls to help the team post a challenging 177/5. Sunil Naraine clinched two wickets for Kolkata.
