Bhubaneswar: The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has decided to provide Jeevan Pramaan or Digital Life Certificate (DLC) at the doorstep of pensioners.
The Department of Posts, in a release, stated that the Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks will generate DLC at the doorsteps of the pensioners whose pension sanctioning authorities are ready to accept the DLC. The initiative has been taken considering the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
The pensioners of Central and state government, Railways, EPFO and ESIC can avail this benefit without visiting their pension disbursing authorities, the release said. With the motto of “Aapka Bank Aapke Dwaar”, the IPPB has been providing banking services with the use of smart phones and biometric devices through its vast network of Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks, it added.
