Iran Delivered ‘Decisive Blow’ To ‘Malicious Enemy’ US & Israel, Claims Mojtaba Khamenei

Tehran: Iran’s supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei claimed on Thursday that Tehran had delivered a “decisive blow” to the United States and Iran.

Referring to the US and Israel as the “malicious enemy,” Mojtaba said that they had been defeated in their confrontation with Iran’s Armed Forces.

Khamenei accused Washington DC and Tel Aviv of “sowing the seeds of doubt, despair, fear, mistrust and discord” among the people of Iran.

“The malicious enemy has been defeated in its confrontation wit

h the Armed Forces. Since it has received a decisive blow both in military combat and in (Iran’s) public squares and streets, it’s experiencing a profound, significant humiliation,” said Khamenei, whose remarks were also shared on X.

The latest statement by Mojtaba were reportedly recited by a prayer leader at the mausoleum of the founder of Iran’s Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, on the 37th anniversary of his death.

Mojtaba has been out of the public eye since taking over as supreme leader after his predecessor and father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in joint US-Israeli strikes on February 28. Despite his physical absence, though, Mojtaba has remained active in negotiations between the US and Iran for a potential peace deal.

Tehran has steadfastly maintained that a peace deal to end the West Asia conflict must include a resolution on the conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon. Tehran has also demanded the release of billions of dollars in frozen assets.

The US, on the other hand, has been focusing mainly on two issues — reopening the Strait of Hormuz and no nuclear weapon for Iran.
