Mumbai: It’s been more than two years since Irrfan Khan passed away following a two-year battle with cancer. But such was his body of work, memories of the gifted actor remain etched in memories of fans and admirers.

Near and dear ones also keep posting about Irrfan’s life and times from time to time, which help in keeping his legacy alive.

Sutapa Sikdar, the late actor’s wife, recently shared an interesting facet of Irrfan on social media – that he wanted to be an ‘urban farmer’.

Mango farm and organic farming were close to the late actor’s heart.

She posted a picture of their younger son Ayan holding a bunch of bananas and wrote that he was posing as a farmer in a village market.

“After mangoes when you return home with bananas from the farm and your boy is trying to look like farmer in a village market. #banana seller,” Sutapa captioned the picture.

Comments poured in, with one user saying: “Humara in-house farmer (Our in-house farmer).”

Sutapa responded: “Yes, the urban farmer what his father truly wanted to become.”

A few days ago, Sutapa posted pictures of mangoes that came from their farm.

“In this journey called life you are always close to your close ones but if your journey has extended beyond the life span but you can be alive if you had decided to be part of mother nature in your life span… Mango farm by Irrfan was an extension of him and his calling ‘organic farming’. It’s again that part of the year when mangoes, blessed with his love, reached us. He loved sitting on this chair and devour them. He loved mangoes and I could fool with rubbish cooking if it ended with mangoes,” Sutapa wrote along with a video.

Irrfan’s elder son Babil is set for his acting debut with the Netflix original ‘Qala’. Babil will also be working in Shoojit Sircar’s next film.
