New Delhi: The female lead of Mr India, Sridevi and one of the main characters, Satish Kaushik may not be alive but Boney Kapoor might bring back the movie in the form of a sequel. One of the most popular science fiction films in Hindi cinema, people are still curious to know if the Shekhar Kapur film will have a sequel. Thirty-seven years after it was first released, Boney Kapoor has hinted at a sequel in collaboration with him but the producer said that it was too early to announce the same.

Boney told Bollywood Hungama, “It surely will come back. In times to come, it will. Recently, I have been approached by a foreign studio, western studio… so it’s going to be a.. it could be a combination of Zee, Boney Kapoor and that foreign studio, we could be collaborating,” he said.

The filmmaker also added that things were at a “premature level” so it was too early for an official announcement. He said, “Things are at a premature level so I can’t really talk much but it will happen. In the coming times, it will happen for sure.” When asked it it was too early to announce the cast of the film, Boney said, “Yes, absolutely,” The Indian Express reported.

On the other hand, Boney Kapoor recently announced the sequel of the 2005 film No Entry with Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. The film originally starred Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan and Fardeen Khan.
