Mumbai: Even as his latest outing ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ is being praised for its fresh narrative, actor R Madhavan hinted that it might be his last romantic film.
“When I started this story, I thought I will be able to pull off a romantic story at the day and the age I was. Because I was looking for an age-appropriate romance. Maybe my last chance to do romance before I have to give it up completely. That’s why,” Madhavan told Just Too Filmy,
The film which premiered on Netflix this weekend, is a romantic drama revolving around mature love and companionship.
Madhavan plays 42-year-old Shrenu Tripathi, who is navigating life, love, and second chances.
Fatima Sana Shaikh, on the other hand, plays the role of Madhu Bose, Madhavan’s love interest.
Madhavan first won hearts with his role as Maddy in the 2001 hit love story ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’.
He continued to play romantic hero in films like ‘Alaipayuthey’, ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar’, and ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.
