Mumbai: Karan Johar is revisiting one of the most talked-about moments in ‘Koffee With Karan’ history.
In the promo for the show’s ninth and final season, the filmmaker once again asks Salman Khan the question that made headlines during their 2013 appearance: “You still a virgin?”
Salman responds, “Control, yaar, brother. Control.” The actor then turns the tables on Karan, asking, “Isn’t it that you got all of us to appear on Koffee With Karan by repeatedly saying it was the last season?”
Salman first made the viral virginity remark during the premiere episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 4 in December 2013.
During the conversation, Karan asked the actor about his relationships and whether he intended to remain a virgin until he married the woman he would eventually settle down with.
Salman said he wanted to save himself for his future wife and confirmed he was a virgin when asked directly. He added that he had friends but no benefits and preferred sleeping alone.
The candid exchange grabbed headlines and became one of the show’s most memorable moments.
The promo also highlights the duo’s long-standing bond, with Salman referencing their film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
When Karan says he is leaving the show, Salman playfully responds, “Karan, tusi na jao.”
Karan also observes that Salman seems different and “just a lot more composed”.
The actor responds with a quip about finally following his own advice, saying, “All the advicees that I’ve given, there has come a time for me to follow my own advices.”
The conversation also touches upon Salman’s recent remarks on trolling and paparazzi culture during an episode of ‘Bigg Boss 20’.
Referring to phone cameras, the actor says, “Jisne ye phone mein camera, jisne banaya hai, woh agar kahin mujhe mil gaya (If I ever come across the person who invented the camera in this phone…)”
The promo also brings up the show’s famous coffee hamper. When Karan tells Salman, “Aapko hamper ke liye ladna hoga” (You will have to fight for the hamper), the actor responds with a playful twist: “Hamper ke liye kyun ladun, Karan? Pamper ke liye ladunga!” (Why should I fight for the hamper, Karan? I will fight to be pampered!)
Hosted by Karan, the ninth and final season of ‘Koffee With Karan’ is set to premiere on October 14, 2026, with Salman as its first guest.
The appearance marks his return to the show after his much-discussed Season 4 episode.
