Mumbai: Shubman Gill is considered to be India cricket’s next big superstar. High on the popularity list among young female celebrities, he is also emerging as the most eligible bachelor.
The stylish right-hander from Punjab, who scored his maiden international century earlier this month, is not part of India’s 15-member Asia Cup squad. And he seems to be enjoying the break from cricket.
The 22-year-old Shubman, who was earlier rumoured to be dating cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara, was spotted at a Mumbai restaurant recently, with actress Sara Ali Khan.
Uzma Merchant shared a video clip on TikTok, which shows Sara and Shubman at Bastian — a restaurant in Worli — placing an order with a waiter next to them.
Fans and social media users were a bit taken aback.
“From Daughter of a Cricketer (Sara Tendulkar) to Grand daughter of a Cricketer (Sara Ali Khan) #Shubmangill Came a long way,” wrote one user.
“Shubman Gill moved from dating Sara Tendulkar to Sara Ali Khan!! Man.. someone pls tell him that it’s ‘Saare jahan se accha’ and not ‘Sara Jahan se acchi !!” posted another netizen.
“Kya chakar hai (What is happening),” wondered another person.
‘Atrangi Re’ and ‘Simmba’ star Sara was earlier said to have been dating the late Sushant Singh Rajput – her co-star in her debut Bollywood film ‘Kedarnath – and then Kartik Aaryan.
