Bhubaneswar: Isak Ralte has signed a fresh contract with Odisha FC, extending his stay at the Bhubaneswar-based ISL club until 2026.

The Mizoram-born winger has already played three seasons for the Juggernauts after joining them from I-League team Aizawl FC in 2020.

The 22-year-old Isak had his most impactful season in ISL in 2022-23, when Odisha FC qualified for the playoffs for the first time, lifted the Super Cup and went on to make the cut for AFC Cup 2023-24. Isak scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists, won the ‘Emerging Player of the Month (February)’ and Hero of the Match award in the game against Hyderabad FC.

“Odisha is now like my second home and Odisha FC feels like family to me… I am extremely happy to have extended my contract with the Kalinga Warriors. Everyone at the club has been supportive through my ups and downs, making this an easy choice,” Isak said.

Expressing his gratitude to the owners and management for their trust in him, Isak said he was thrilled about the upcoming season.

“I’m and confident we will build on our previous achievements. Ama Team, Ama Game!” he said.

Head coach Sergio Lobera was delighted about the winger’s contract extension.

“Isak is a technically very good player, talented, with a great future and also a present. It is good news to ensure his talent for the coming years. We will continue to grow together,” said Lobero.
