Ishan Kumar Patro New VC Of Ravenshaw University

Cuttack: Professor Ishan Kumar Patro has been appointed as the new
Vice Chancellor of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack on Saturday. Patro
will replace Prof. Prakash Chandra Sarangi.

Patro’s appointment was approved by Governor Dr SC Jamir. He will hold
the post for a period of three years.

Speaking on the occasion, Ishan said that he will strive hard to take
the university to new heights and work towards the development of its
students and prioritize appointment of new staff, introduction of new
stream and students’ placement. He further informed that steps will be
taken to develop the second campus of the university into a world
class centre of excellence.

Patro is currently working as professor in School of Studies in
Zoology Department of Jiwaji University in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
