Margao: Diego Mauricio salvaged a point for Odisha FC with a brace as the bottom rankers drew 2-2 with Kerala Blasters in their ISL-7 clash at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Thursday night.
Brazilian Mauricio scored in the 45th minute to hand Odisha FC the lead at half-time.
Jordan Murray equalized seven minutes after the change of ends, before Gary Hooper put Kerala Blasters in front in the 68th minute.
But talismanic striker Mauricio once again rose to the occasion to help Odisha FC restore parity in the 74th minute. Mauricio has now scored 9 goals in the tournament out of Odisha’s 16 and is placed joint third in the scorer’s list.
With four matches remaining, Odisha FC has 9 points, while Kerala Blasters’ tally is 16.
