Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC came from behind to share the spoils with FC Goa at Kalinga Stadium here on Monday night.
Noah Wail Sadaoui scored one of the fastest goals in ISL-9, converting an Alvaro Vazquez assist after 2 minutes.
Unfazed by the early setback, Odisha FC settled won quickly and established their dominance on the game.
After a few close calls, the Juggernauts got back on level terms 2 minutes before half-time. It was their prolific striker Diego Mauricio who found the mark from a free-kick for what was his 10th goal of the season.
Odisha were the better team in the second session, too, till disaster struck in the 67th minute when Sahil Panwar’s tackle from behind fetched him a second booking leading to marching orders.
But despite playing with 10 men for more than half the second session, Odisha FC managed to defend their citadel. Amrinder came under pressure, but the goalkeeper stood tall to ensure a point for Odisha.
Odisha FC, who have lost just one game at home, are in seventh place with 24 points from 17 games.
