ISL: Brazilian Diego Mauricio Extends Odisha FC Stint Till 2025

Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC and Diego Mauricio have signed a new contract that will keep the Brazilian striker at the ISL club till 2025.

Mauricio scored 12 goals and made 4 assists in the 2022-23 ISL to claim the Golden Boot.

His fine form helped Odisha FC finish sixth in the 11-team league and qualify for their maiden playoffs, where they lost to ATK Mohun Bagan.

“I belong to Odisha. I love the people and the city. The fans have shown me how much they love me. My family is very happy that I decided to say. I have had a great time here, and I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the club. I believe we can achieve great things together,” Mauricio said.

The contract extension of the 31-year-old striker, who has established himself as a top striker of the league, is a major boost for the Juggernauts who will aim to make the semifinals next season.
