The 1-1 result, after four straight wins, took Odisha’s tally to 31 points from 15 matches.
They are 3 points ahead of FC Goa, though Odisha have played three matches more.
It was the irrepressible Roy Krishna who put Odisha ahead in the opening minutes. The Fijian striker, fed by Amey with a low cross inside the box, slotted the ball into the goal when the match was just three minutes old.
Jay Gupta found the equaliser form the visitors in the 37th minute.
Despite dominating proceedings, Odisha FC failed to find the winning goal in the second session.
Odisha now have a two-week gap before taking on Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan (February 24) and East Bengal (February 29) back to back.
