ISL: Odisha FC Thump Jamshedpur 4-1 After Conceding Lead, Remain Unbeaten At Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC proved to be far superior for Jamshedpur FC in their ISL clash at their fortress Kalinga Stadium here on Friday evening.

The Kalinga Warriors conceded the lead, but rebounded strongly to score 4 goals in the first half itself.

They took it easy after half-time to turn out 4-1 winners.

After Jamshedpur’s Japanese midfielder Rei Tachikawa broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, Isak Vanlalruatfela levelled scores four minutes later. Fijian marksman Roy Krishna made it 2-1 after 35 minutes, while Diego Mauricio converted a penalty two minutes into stoppage time.

Krishna got his second in the fourth minute of injury time to establish a comfortable 4-1 lead at the halfway stage.

Odisha had won their first meeting with Jamshedpur too, Krishna netting the only goal.

Odisha FC are now second in the standings with 24 points from 12 matches.

The Bhubaneswar-based are unbeaten at home in ISL this season, having won 5 and drawn 1.
