IT Raids On 80 Places Linked To Oil Mill In Odisha’s Bargarh

Bargarh: Income Tax (IT) officials on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on the properties of an oil mill at 80 different locations in Odisha’s Bargarh district.

According to sources, the raids were conducted on the properties of Balgopal Oil Mill at Sayan under Bargarh Sadar police limits in the district due to evasion of income tax.

The IT officials carried out raids on the oil mill, its office and the residence of its chartered accountant Omm Pansari. Besides, SS Infra Solution in Gajanan Complex on Kali Temple Road and residence of its owner Anil Agrawal came under the IT raids.

Though the exact amount of income tax evasion has not been revealed, the sources said other millers, builders, businessmen and contractors were also involved. The raids and processing of the seized document will continue, the sources added.
