Puri: There is no better gift than providing warm clothes to the needy in winter. And, what can be a better occasion than Christmas.
An Italian social worker residing in Puri, Alfredo Rombalo, distributed blankets, winter clothes and other essentials among the needy of the Temple Town on Friday.
Alfredo, who had collected mats, blankets and winter clothes with the help of his friends from Italy, distributed those among the needy in the town.
With the help of Puri Youth Congress leaders Alok Kumar Das, Ashutosh Mishra, Manoj Mandal, Biju Prasad Rath, Alfredo distributed the winter essentials in childrens’ ward of Puri Medical.
They also visited several slums in the town and distributed mats and shawls among nearly 70 needy people.
