ITAO To Focus On Smart City Smart Link

Bhubaneswar:  With an aim to provide a platform for interaction with all stakeholders, launch IT related products and create awareness among the possible buyers with live demonstrations, the IT Association of Odisha (ITAO) is going to host the 5th IT Conclave 2018 in the capital city here on February 20

The unique and exclusive one-day conclave is focused on ‘Smart City Smart Link’, which is expected to boost the linkage between the major IT sector players and the Smart City Bhubaneswar Authority for a joint endeavour in future, said Soubhagya Routray, President, ITAO at a press meet on Friday.

IT majors like ADOBE (USA), CSDC (USA), EPSON (Japan), QUADGEN (USA) will also participate in the conclave with their new generation IT products and collaboration prospects in Odisha.

Besides, major Odisha-based companies, various state government departments, research institutes, educational institutions, universities and IT majors are scheduled to join the program. More than 200 buyers from the state are listed to be part of the event to grasp the newest products from national and global IT companies with innovative and creative ideas for the next level IT business.

“Our objective is to provide a common platform for mobilizing the IT resources of the State and utilize the same for generating awareness and mass employment,” said ITAO secretary SrinibashTripathy.

Nimeshika Natarajan, ITAO Core Group member and Manager, Trade Research, World Trade Centre, Bhubaneswar, said owing to the easy accessibility and the wide range of IT products available, the demand for IT services has increased in the state and the country substantially over the years. The IT sector here has emerged as a major source of both growth and employment, she added.

Among others, Prasant Kumar Swain, Vice-President, ITAO along with other office bearers were present.

ITAO will present awards to the best performers from government, corporate, PSUs, distributors, small investment partners and entrepreneurs during the event.

The Conclave is supported by the State Electronics & Information Technology Department, Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) & Software Technology Park of India (STPI) while the associate partners are World Trade Centre, Bhubaneswar & CITE along with Digital Media Partner OdishaLIVE and IT media partner VARINDIA.

ITAO is a consortium of over 400 members of IT Industry across the state and constitutes more than 75 percent of the market share of Odisha’s IT business by uniting the IT professionals and business sector people.
