Vigilance Raid On ITDA Project Administrator; 2-Storey Building, 2 Flats & 7 Plots Detected In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday unearthed a multi-storey building, 2 flats and seven high-value plots belonging to ITDA Project Administrator of Bonai, in Sundargarh district, Biswadarsi Sahoo, during raids over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

These apart, 2 more high-value plots in Puri, 150 grams of gold and Rs 2.05 lakh in cash were detected.

Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by a team led by one additional SP, 3 DSPs, 10 inspectors and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh, at 7 places in Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Jajpur and Bonai ( Sundargarh), an official release said.

The assets detected in the name of Sahoo and his family members are as follows:

1. A double-storey residential building over 3600 sqft area at Sriram Nagar, Old Town, over Plot No.1813/3941, Mouza – Unit-27, Bhubaneswar.

2. Flat No.304 over 1500 sqft area at 3rd floor of Bhagwan Tower, Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar.

3. Advance payment of Rs15.75 lakhs by Sahoo to realtor to purchase Flat No.402 (under construction) on 4th floor, EVOS Galaxy, Unit-3, Kharvela Nagar, Bhubaneswar.

4. 9 high-value plots in and around Bhubaneswar (7) & Puri (2).

5. Rs 2,05,000 in cash

6. Gold jewellery weighing 150 grams.

7. 1 four-wheeler (Tiago) & 4 two-wheelers.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/flats/ plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. Bank, Insurance & Postal deposits and other investments are being ascertained. A locker being operated in name of Sahoo’s spouse at SBI Branch, Bapuji Nagar, Bhubaneswar, is to be opened, the released added.

The raids were conducted at these following places:

(1) Double-storey residential building of Sahoo located at Sriram Nagar, Old Town, Bhubaneswar.

(2) Flat No. 304, 3rd Floor, Bhagwan Tower, Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar.

(3) Flat No. 402,4th floor, EVOS Galaxy, Unit 3, Kharvelnagar, Bhubaneswar.

(4) Sukumar Nayak Apartment, Flat No. 302, S. N. Sen Road, Balasore,

(5) House of a relative at Jajpur Town, Jajpur.

(6) His government quarters at Bonai, Sundargarh.

(7) His office at PA, ITDA, Bonai, Sundargarh.
