Cuttack: One of Cuttack’s oldest film theatres, Jayashree Cinema Hall at Badambadi, has been permanently shut down by its management, Odisha Assembly Of Small and Medium Enterprises informed on Saturday.
It had played a key role in popularising Odia movies.
Once known for its cinema halls, Cuttack has seen the closure of Pravat Cinema, Rajatarangini Hall, Hind Cinema, and Nishamani Talkies in the recent past. Durga Devi hall was converted to INOX cinema after being closed for several years.
