Salaries of Member of Parliament (MPs) will be cut by 30 per cent for a period of one year “to meet the exigencies arising out of COVID-19 pandemic”.
Rajya Sabha passed the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament (Amendment) Bill, 2020 on Friday to this effect. Lok Sabha had already approved of the amended bill on Tuesday.
