Bhubaneswar: Senior IRTS officer Jyoti Prakash Mishra, who served as Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Coast Railway (ECoR) for 7 years, has assumed charge as the Bhubaneswar-based Railway Zone’s Chief Passenger Transportation Manager (CPTM). Akhilesh Tripathy has succeeded him as CPRO, official sources said.
During his long stint as CPRO of ECoR, the focus was on making the government’s media communication effective by keeping it active, transparent, responsive and communicative. ECoR encouraged constructive criticism and suggestions and engaged with mediapersons especially in crisis situations like cyclones, floods and railway accidents, official sources added.
