Mumbai: Jacqueline Fernandez had sought permission from a Delhi court to travel to the UAE, Nepal and France for 15 days.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had questioned Jacqueline several times in connections with her alleged involvement in conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s money-laundering case and also seized the actress’ passport.
Additional Sessions Judge Praveen Singh had said he had sought a response from the ED before hearing the matter.
Now, the actress’ lawyer has withdrawn the application.
It was learnt that the case wasn’t in Jacqueline’s favour, and hence her counsel decided to withdraw the plea.
Jacqueline, a Sri Lankan who has been living and working in India since 2009, was invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival and Abu Dhabi for IIFA.
Jacqueline will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, and Johnny Lever among others. Jacqueline has also teamed up with Akshay Kumar for Ram Setu.
