Puri: Noted preacher Charan Ramdas succumbed to COVID-19 in Odisha’s Puri town around 9.30 pm on Monday. He was 61.
According to sources, he died while undergoing treatment at a COVID hospital in the town.
After testing positive for the deadly virus, Charan Ramdas was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar and later discharged. He continued to be in home isolation. However, he was admitted to Puri COVID hospital after his condition deteriorated, the sources added.
He propagated Jagannath Culture and was much appreciated for his efforts. He was a household name in Odisha.
