Jagannath Temple In Puri Closed For Devotees Today

Puri: The Jagannath temple here will be closed for devotees on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja and Bada Ekadasi on Friday.

Temple sources said the decision was in line with COVID norms to avoid the huge footfall rxpected on the special day.

However, special rituals are underway at the temple on Friday. Along with Parswa Paribarttan ritual, two Bada Singhara Beshas will also be held.

Devotees will again be allowed in for darshan on Saturday. The temple will remain shut on Sunday for disinfection of the premises.

The temple will also remain closed on , Kumar Purnima and Dussehra in October.
