Puri: Jagannath temple, here will remain closed for the devotees for three days from Saturday.
The Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has asked the devotees not to visit the temple on the three days as they will not be allowed entry. Due to weekend shutdown, the temple will be closed on Saturday and Sunday when santisation of its premises will be carried out.
Considering that there is likelihood of heavy rush of devotees on Monday for Janmashtami festival, the SJTA has decided to keep the temple closed to prevent spread of corona virus.
It may be mentioned that the temple was reopened to all devotees on August 23 after remaining closed for four months since April 24 due to the second wave of COVID pandemic.
