Puri: In continuation of phased reopening of Jagannath Temple here, the town residents will have darshan of the deities in the second phase from Saturday.
In the first phase, only the family members of the servitors were permitted inside the temple from December 23. The residents of Pilgrim Town can have darshan from December 26 till 5 pm of December 31.

The temple will remain closed on January 1 and 2 and open for all devotees on December 3.
For the Puri residents, there will be a queue system from 7 am at Market Chhak. They have to produce the necessary token besides identity proof. They have to follow the COVID-19 guidelines of hand sanitisation and thermal screening before entering the temple.
Meanwhile, executive officer of Puri Municipality Bijay Kumar Das has said the supervisors of Swachha Sathi are distributing token slips in the Wards. If anybody has not received the slip, he can get it from the counter opened at Jagannath Ballav.
