Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has begun the process for sale of ‘Abhada’ (Mahaprasad) for the devotees of Puri town and its nearby areas during the holy month of Kartika of Odia calendar.
Talking to the media on Tuesday, secretary of Suara Mahasuara Nijog Krushna Chandra Pratihari said that as per the decision taken at the meeting with the temple administration, two special counters will be opened near the north and south gates of the temple within a week.
The devotees can collect tokens from these counters by paying the money while maintaining social distancing.
“We had requested the temple administration to replicate the method of selling the Mahaprasad at the Gundicha temple during Rath Yatra this year with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines,” Pratihari said.
