Cuttack: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Tuesday informed the Orissa High Court about completion of repair work of Jagmohan (prayer hall) at Jagannath Temple in Puri.
In an affidavit, the ASI informed the court that it had told Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) that it can allow devotees inside the Jagmohan
In response to the affidavit, the High Court asked the SJTA to vacate Nata Mandap for the repair work to be taken up by the ASI.
It also asked the SJTA to mention the date for opening Jagmohan to the devotees through a fresh affidavit by March 13.
The court also asked the ASI and the General Electrical Division (GED) of the Odisha government to specify the date of completion of repair of the Neela Chakra atop the temple.
