Jai Kiran Samman Conferred On Freedom-Fighter Shanti Das

Bhubaneswar: The Jai Kiran Trust felicitated freedom-fighter Shanti Das as part of 10th Jai Kiran Awards Ceremony at Rabindra Mandap here Sunday.

Trust president Shaswati Bal presented the Jai Kiran Samman to freedom fighter Shanti Das for her contribution to the freedpm struggle. The annual award is presented in memory of Late Jayakrishna Mohanty and late Kiran Lekha Mohanty.

The trust also presented two more awards dedicated to Odissi Guru Gopal Chandra Panda and dance Guru Gangadhar Pradhan. Shikta Das received the award for Odissi dance while Lata Ghosh received the award for music.

MLA Devi Prasad Mishra and Pramila Malik were present among others at the ceremony.
