‘Jai Shri Ram’ Slogans Raised During Xmas Eve Function In Gurgaon School

New Delhi: Some miscreants, allegedly belonging to the right-wing, tried to disrupt Christmas eve celebrations by raising slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at Gurgaon’s Pataudi. According to reports, the incident occurred when blankets and food were being distributed to poor children at a school in Pataudi.

A video shows some men entering the church premises on Friday evening and raising slogans ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. They are seen allegedly pushing the choir members down the stage and snatching the mike.

“It was scary as we had women and children around in the church. The nuisance is increasing with each passing day. It’s an infringement of our right to pray and religion,” a local pastor was quoted by PTI.

Pataudi station house officer Amit Kumar was quoted as saying that the police had not received any complaint so far. The local administration is yet to respond.
