The Pakistan Army on Monday remained silent about the blast at a Rawalpindi hospital where Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar was being treated. There were rumours that Masood might be among the injured, reported The Hush Post.
Indian Intelligence agencies could not confirm anything. The Telegram channel said Masood was among 10 injured in the blasts. The authorities were keeping mum.
Suffering from renal failure, Masood Azhar is a regular visitor to the Army Hospital for dialysis. Last Sunday, many Pakistani Twitter users uploaded a video of the blast and claimed 10 people were injured.
A Twitter user named Ahsan Ullah MiaKhail, who identifies himself as a human rights worker and PTM (Pashtun Tahfuz Movement) activist, posted a video of the blast saying, “Huge #blast at Military Hospital in #Rawalpindi, #Pakistan. 10 injured shifted to the emergency. Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar is admitted here. Complete Media blackout by Army. Media asked strictly not to cover this story (sic).”
