Bhubaneswar: The Health and Family Welfare Department on Tuesday revealed the travel history of the 66-year-old man from Jajpur district, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
The Jajpur administration, which declared three villages of Sana Trilochanpur and Saipur as ‘containment zone’ for seven days for contact tracing and active surveillance, had earlier informed the media that that he had travelled to Kolkata.

He has been admitted to Ashwini COVId hospital in Cuttack.
This 66-year-old from Sana Trilochanpur is the second COVID-19 case from the district. One person from Brahmabarada village had tested positive for the virus on April 3. He had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamuddin in March. He recovered from the infection and was discharged from Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack on April 11. He is currently under government quarantine at a centre in the district.
