Bhubaneswar: Coronavirus claimed two more lives in Odisha, taking the death toll to 38 on Monday.
According to the Health Department sources, Jajpur reported its first COVID death while the toll in Ganjam rose to 21 with one more patient succumbing to the disease.
The deceased have been identified as 77-year-old man, who was also suffering from hypertension, of Ganjam and 64-year-old man diabetic patient of Jajpur. They died while undergoing treatment.
On Sunday, Sundargarh and Gajapati were added to the corona death map of Odisha with the districts reporting one case each.
Earlier, the virus had claimed seven lives in Khurda, four in Cuttack, and one each in Puri, Angul, and Bargarh.
