Jajpur: The Jajpur administration on Tuesday declared three villages, including Sana Trilochanpur under Jafarpur Gram Panchayat, in the district as ‘containment zone’ after a COVID-19 patient was detected from the area.
Similar restrictions have been imposed in some areas of Saipur for seven days, informed Collector Ranjan Kumar Das.
“With recent travel history to Kolkata, he was in home quarantine. He has now been admitted to Ashwini COVID Hospital in Cuttack,” he added.
This is the second COVID-19 case in the district. One person from Brahmabarada village had tested positive for the virus on April 3. He had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamuddin in March. He recovered and was discharged from Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack on April 11. He is currently under government quarantine at a centre in the district.
