Bhubaneswar: In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s request to observe Janata curfew as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus, the All Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association has decided not to ply any bus in Odisha on Sunday.
“Following the call by the Prime Minister and the advice by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to guard against the killer virus, there will be no plying of any private bus across the state on Sunday,” Association spokesperson Debashis Nayak told the media.
Meanwhile, the Cuttack City Auto-rickshaw Association has also decided to regulate plying of auto-rickshaws in the city on Sunday.
Secretary of the Association, Sailin Dhal said that the Association has decided to ply only 50 auto-rickshaws in the city to provide emergency services to the people.
