Janhvi Reveals: Anil Kapoor Used To Touch Sridevi’s Feet Whenever They Met

Mumbai: Sridevi and Anil Kapoor acted together in a number of films, including the much-appreciated Lamhe, Mr India and Janbaaz.

So when Janhvi Kapoor and uncle Anil came together at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, it was only natural that Sridevi would feature in the conversation.

Remembering her mother, Janhvi recalled that Anil used to touch her feet every time they meet. Now that Sridevi is no more, Anil wishes to do the same with her daughter, said Janhvi.

According to Anil, he felt blessed as an artist to have worked with elder brother Boney Kapoor’s wife Sridevi.

“She had a huge contribution to my career. She was an actor with immeasurable talent who could fill the screen with her magic. We shouldn’t remember her with sadness and rather celebrate her brilliance as a performer with love, affection and joy,” Anil said.

The feeling was mutual, as Janhvi said Anil was Sridevi’s favourite co-star. The duo featured in 15 Bollywood films and were a popular pair in the 1980s.
