Jawan found dead with bullet injuries in Angul

Angul: A jawan, who was in charge of arms and ammunition store at Chheliapada CRPF camp in Angul district, was found dead with gunshot wounds on his chest on Monday.
He was identified as Mihir Das, a native of Kendrapada district.
According to reports, gunshots were heard in the store around 5 am and some jawans rushed to the spot only to find Das riddled with bullets. He was immediately taken to the district headquarters hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The angul police have started investigating the incident.
“It is yet to be known whether Das committed suicide or the firing was accidental.The bullet was from an AK-47 rifle. We have informed his family members about the death and seized the body for postmortem,” said IIC of Angul police station Subash Chandra Sahoo.
