Bargarh: A jawan Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was found hanging at his official quarters in CRPF camp in the district on Sunday.
According to reports, the jawan Subesh Kumar Singh serving in A 189 CRPF Battalion was staying in the official quarters allotted to him on the camp premises at Govindpur under Bargarh Sadar police station. He belonged to a place under Khalilabag police station in Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
Singh was found hanging by CRPF personnel in the camp in the morning. On being informed, police went to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
Though police have not confirmed why the jawan took the extreme step, they suspected it to be a case of suicide. A case of unnatural death has been registered at Bargarh Sadar police station and further investigation is on.
