Bhubaneswar: A security personnel was reportedly injured in an accidental firing during a training session at the Special Operation Group (SOG) camp in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
The incident took place at the SOG camp located at Chandaka on the outskirt of the state capital when a bullet accidentally hit a leg of the jawan, sources said.
The jawan sustained the bullet injury during an exercise which was being conducted by an instructor. A a bullet hit his leg during the training session.
The injured securityman, identified as Havildar Umakant Mallick, was immedistely rushed to a hospital in Bhubaneswar and his condition is stated to be stable.
