Jaya’s Election Affidavit Reveals Bachchan Couple Combined Net Worth; Check Here

Mumbai: Bollywood actors Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan, have collectively disclosed assets totalling over Rs 1,578 crore, which include a significant bank balance of Rs 130 crore and ownership of 17 cars.

Jaya Bachchan, seeking her fifth Rajya Sabha term as a Samajwadi Party candidate from Uttar Pradesh, revealed her personal net worth in the election affidavit. The actress, who was last seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, declared her net worth at Rs 1.63 crore for the financial year 2022-23, while that of her husband, Amitabh Bachchan, for the same period was Rs 273.74 crore, according to media reports.

The affidavit also disclosed their collective assets, encompassing bank balances, movable and immovable properties, amounting to a significant sum. Jaya possesses a bank balance of Rs 10.11 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan’s bank balance is Rs 120.45 crore. Their total movable assets are assessed at Rs 849.11 crore, and the value of their immovable properties stands at Rs 729.77 crore. Furthermore, Jaya owns jewellery valued at Rs 40.97 crore and a car worth Rs 9.82 lakh.

Jaya’s wealth is derived from diverse sources, including earnings from endorsements, her salary as a Member of Parliament, and acting fees. Amitabh’s income streams encompass interest, rent, dividends, capital gains, revenue from a solar plant, and professional fees as an actor, the reports added.
