New Delhi: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 will be held on October 3, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated in a Tweet on Monday.
The JEE Advanced 2021 was scheduled to be held on June 3, however, it was postponed due to COVID-19 but the new dates were not announced.
This also means that the result for JEE Main will be announced much ahead of October to allow students some space between two exams and time to apply for Advanced application.
This year, IIT-Kharagpur is conducting the exam, which is the qualifying test for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
An applicant must be among the top 2.5 lakh successful JEE Main candidates to qualify for the IITs.
IIT Kharagpur has released the information brochure for engineering entrance exam on June 26. Candidates can check the official website — jeeadv.ac.in for details on registration, application, eligibility and exam pattern.
JEE Advanced score is also used for admissions to Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli, Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy, Visakhapatnam among others.
