Mumbai: Jeep has launched a new variant, Sport Plus of its popular Compass SUV. This variant is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 16.99 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom, pan-India). This variant is around Rs 38000 more than the lowest sport variant. The new variant competes with the mid-higher trims of the newly-launched Tata Harrier.
Jeep has added more equipment to this new trim. It has 16-inch silver alloy wheels, black roof rails and a Sport Plus badge, black cladding on the rear windshield, rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control and a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display.
Safety wise, it has the same dual front airbags, ABS, ESC and traction control, like the Sport variant.
The Compass is powered by the same 163hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel, both of which come with a 6-speed manual as standard.
