Jeweller Shot At Inside Shop During Daylight Robbery In Odisha’s Sambalpur

 Sambalpur: Motorcycle-borne miscreants allegedly opened fire and looted a jewellery shop at Dhanupali Sqaure in Odisha’s Sambalpur town on Friday.

The shop owner, identified as Sujit Sonkar, suffered bullet injuries in the incident which took place around 2.30 pm. He was taken to Sadar hospital and later shifted to VIMSAR, Burla, in a critical condition.

Sources further said that some customers were also present during the daylight robbery.

On being informed, Dhanupalli police reached the spot, sealed the shop and started an investigation.

The amount and cost of jewellery looted is yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
