Jewellery Shop Owner, Staff Found Dead In Jajpur

Jajpur: A jewellery shop owner and his staff were found murdered near Pritipur Bazaar under Binjharpur police station limits in Jajpur district late on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as owner Khageswar Rana (45) and staff Chaitanya Sahu (50).

The duo was returning with jewellery and cash after closing the shop around 9pm on Friday night when some unknown miscreants attacked them with sharp weapons and decamped with the jewellery and money, a police officer said, adding that they might have been murdered for intention to loot the jewels.

The incident came to the light after Rana’s family members found both the bodies lying in a pool of blood and alerted the police.
